Haven't been to silver for about 12 years so to my surprise, found a couple docks there. Personally, I think they make launching harder. Started around 6pm, 3rd cast I caught this one, nice fat and healthy fish. The next 2 hours was endless catches and misses of babies. Almost every cast where the reeds met the rocks I'd get bit. Water temp was 62, Enough wind throughout the evening that I thought spinner baits would work(didn't). Went back to plastics and had 2 good hits, the rest were small.
So from what I remember when I used to fish this lake: Pretty good browns trolling by the stickups, used to be able to get back in the cove across from public launch, even in the summer months. I've caught two bass in washington over 7.9, one came from silver. Seems from the reports from the past few years, the fishery has declined. Either way, I'll be back, it's close and enough fish to keep me busy.
