My faithful fishing partner labrador wanted to go to the lake and play stick, so that was excuse enough for me to grab my fishing gear and indulge the dog. Went for more Perch but ended up just slaying the trout, in fact they were quite the pests for some reason, caught a good many that were right in close working the reeds for the snails. As the afternoon wore on the Crappie began to bite in earnst and I caught a good many 7" but they all went back. Managed to get one at 10" and the bonus of the day was the large fat hen Bluegill that got very upset that I dropped one of Dons Dandy Crappie spins on top of her nest. I gotta say the Bluegill pound for pound is the best fighting fish in this lake, smokes the fat lazy bass any day. The hen was close to dropping her eggs so back she went, finished the evening throwing the stick for my faithfull and ever patient fishing partner, gotta love that wet dog smell on the ride home. :) Klahowya!
