Well after reading a few reports of people catching actual bass not rock bass out of Bitter I decided to drive the mile from my door to the park and launch the float tube. So glad I did. I only caught 1 rock bass the whole morning and that was the Mack Daddy of all rock bass, managed to completely inhale a 4" senko. Actually kinda wish I took a pic of that one, guessed him to be about 8", never seen one that big. The real story though is that the Largies seem to be taking the lake back finally. Spent about an hour with nothing and then 1 largemouth, then another and another quality fish too 1-3 lbs. Caught 8 bass total, biggest I guess to be 3 lbs. I talked to the resident that took the pic of me in my tube, he said he got one off his dock that had to be close to 6, so nice to see the bass come back. Please help em out and C&R only the bass in this lake, use the rock bass to fertilize your garden.
