Started fishing at 5:30 am. Fish rising/feeding subsurface all around me at S. end of lake. Tried a variety of sinking flies with a strike indicator and a floating line. Saw a couple of fish circling but no takers. Switched to a Olive Wooly Bugger and a 30 ft. sink tip line. Trolled that at a variety of speeds. Brought 3 fish home. Nice Fish, good fighters. Any suggestions on what it takes to get the feeding/rising fish to hit ? Thanks.

I've found that the holdovers really target leeches in this lake, open one up and their stomach is full of them. Most of the success I have had is fishing near the bottom will small spoons or spinners tipped with worm. This time of year the fish may be rising to get to better oxygenated water as the south end of the lake is fairly shallow and warms up rather quickly. With all the organic material on the bottom of the south part of the lake, the oxygen gets used up as the material decays with the warming of the waters. Any idea what the surface temps were?

I'll be over there this weekend and shoot a picture of what I use in the morning to sley therm... it's a small spinner with a single and treble hook hidden in fly feathers.. very small weight trolled about 50 feet behind the boat- I fish Park lake but plan on hitting blue also

anyone want to tell me if it worth my time to run up to Banks to try for walleye? I am rigged up but never have done it

I fish for the same kind of fish, rising all over, and if you use a light leader on float line with any small small adams dry fly, cast to the rises, they should a lot of times come up and take it right off the top if you even remotely match the flies sitting on the surface!! I have 10 fish between 9 and 10 pm every night in my lakes when they begin to rise for dries
