My boy and I arrived around 3PM. Started looking for tigers and smallies. Hooked a small tiger on a Suick in about 8 feet of water. No official measurement but I'd be lucky to stretch him 25inches. This tiger was hanging out in or very near a collection of stumps. That would be the only action from the tigers. A few minutes after 6PM,a rather large storm showed up and we took cover. It blasted through in about 20 minutes but it looked like the lake flipped over a few times turning the area into a muddy soup that contained plenty of vegetation. We decided to try one of our perch spots but it doesn't normally produce this early. However,my son and I managed to catch several very small perch using hook/bobber with Berkley Crappie Nibbles but I'm fairly certain that they would have hit just about anything including live worms. The average size was probably 5 inches. All fish released. The fishing itself rates a 3 but I would rate it a 6 in overall quality time on the water with my son. I love getting him over fish, kids don't care about size or species, just as long as something is on at the end of the line.
