Thought we'd see how Wildcat is for bass this year. Hit the water around 3pm, fished till dark. My buddy caught the first one around 6pm out of a log pile, didn't weigh it, prolly around 2(on a brown jig). I missed another on the jig, chased it all the way to the boat. Had a few bites here and there. Tried a crankbait a few times but the most success came from dropshotting the zoom trick worm again. I caught three, lost one and had several other bites on that. Overall not a bad evening, no bass worth bragging about but I'm very happy to be having more and more success on the dropshot. Water temp was around 60 with a good bit of wind early on which died around 8pm. Just like every other lake the weed growth was subpar, found most of the bass under the few lilypads, hugging the fallen timber, or cruising steep dropoffs. I'll be back at it again tomorrow night somewhere else, tight lines all!
