They fight really well, a lot of them will manage to throw the hook while going airborne, and they are prob. the tastiest of the freshwater salmonoids. It's a diff. fishery as far as bait, the silvers will hit shrimp under a bobber or while trolling while the kokes are more jigging at depth or trolling,You can catch them (kokes) occasionally while still fishing, but not consistently.They both have soft mouths, a light drag and consistent reeling is required to keep from losing fish.My wife has been hooking some nice ones at American Lake on the surface with spoons while I've been screwing with the downrigger!
