After having done this for over eleven years, I can still get amazed. Larry Seureau came out and fished with me so we could help his 15 year old nephew, Daniel catch some fish. Boy, did he ever! The first fish in the boat was the big fish of the day, a 20 lb, 8 oz behemoth. Then they just kept coming with a constant size consistency that I have NEVER SEEN. He added a 12, a 10.5 and five fish between 8 and 9. Four sets of doubles. A total of 133 pounds of fish in less than four hours of fishing! The weight of the fish bent the steel bar with our deckhand, Jaime Abarca holding the middle.

We pounded the Bar. The 120's and 130's produced really well. Everything got bit, but the best producers were the T4 purple glow flatfish in the outrigger rods. The Mack's Cha Cha Squidder and the Ace Hi Fly off the downriggers also caught fish baited with a strip of Northern Pikeminnow.

It was a day to remember!
