Started from the boat house at 4:30 with another veteran friend of mine. Water was calm and no boats on the water. Not many fish surfacing but we got 5 in boat in the first hour and half. Used downriggers set to 40 ft with 25-30 pulls behind the boat. Total depth was 80ft North of Silcox Island. Pink/Violet UV Watermellon Dodger, with pink wedding rings, tipped the hooks with shoepeg corn and pink gulp maggots. Trolled very slow with little action, had to troll a little faster than usual to entice the bites. Stopped at 8:45 with only 5 fish in the boat after loosing three at the boat. All in all was a good morning, had not been out in a week for the Koks and had a real iching to get out there. Trying again on Sunday.
