I decided to take a kid fishing today, well actually it is my fiance's little brother. He told me that he had "never caught a fish before, only rocks and sticks." I was determined to change that! So we headed out to one of my favorite lakes and did a little trolling. And within 5 minutes of having the lines in the water we had a fish on! A nice little cutthroat trout! His first fish! I think i was happier than he was, he seemed kind of dissapointed because it was not a HUGE one! But we kept at it and caught and released about 15 fish in the two hours we were there. One thing about taking children fishing is they get bored fast and once they lose intrest its better to just go in and finish the out the day. We dont want to make them think fishing is boring and no fun now do we!!
