7/7/2011 8:21:00 PMI hope you saw a ton of them, because that is what it was like yesterday. I was over at the snake this morning at wawawai lagoon and there was a carp orgy going on. I haven't seen this type of behavior before, but the fish were paired up and thrashing around on the surface in the lagoon, often right next to the rocks. There were easily about 20 thrashing pairs in the lagoon evident at any given time. they seemed pretty much oblivious to my presence. Also the shallows in the main river held quite a few carp. Water is still murky, smallmouth bass were hitting crankbaits, mainly really little guys.

7/7/2011 10:14:00 PMA hint I have given before. When the carp are thrashing, spawning, use your hand to spash the water like they do, then get ready. They will come to you. You are sounding like the males herding the female and other males and females want in on the action.
