Thanks for the comment. My grandfather collected Gypsy King spoons everywhere he went, in every color known to man. I got all his fishing stuff when he passed away. I still have a bunch of the spoons, and am hoarding them. They seem to get bites sometimes when nothing else will.

9/30/2011 6:07:00 AMI was trying to figure out what a Gypsy King looks like so I googled it. Turns out I have about a dozen of them in my tackle box in almost never used condition. They're all about 2" long and in a bunch of different colors. They're kind of like a Daredevil knockoff if I have my facts right. I think I'm heading to Badger this Monday--I'll have to give them a try. Thanks for the report.

My Gypsy King Spoons are just barely over an inch long, maybe an inch and a quarter, and VERY thin metal. The shape at the hook end, with a fairly deep concave dish, seems to give it a better wobble than most spoons you can buy now.
Also, hate to disappoint you, but Badger closes today, September 30.

9/30/2011 9:44:00 AMThanks for the heads-up Stan. Getting caught fishing out of season could have been an ugly experience. I was thinking it closed Oct 31. Don't know why there is a difference in closure dates between so many lakes. I should have known, I've been fishing Eastern Washington for almost 60 years. Looks like we'll be heading to either Chapman or Marshall.
