I went to Lake Spokane Campgrounds day use area. Fished from the pier saw a few being caught, small ones by people on the beach. And then after a boat pulled in and threw in 4 large smallies I realized I would need a boat to catch anything nice ,so I got bored and left. On my way back home I stopped at this very small lake on the side of the road call Red Lake. Lots of 8 inch smallies and bunches of blue gill here. This is the place you take your kids, there is a small access rd that goes to a few residents by the lake. you can park there by the posts in the ground and fish. Beware if you go around the lake there is poison ivy. This is a pristene lake that is owned by the Dept of natural resourses and no gas motors are allowed.great for float tubes and bobber fishing.please do not litter here pick up your fishing mess. I caught 18 smallies and about 20 blue gill in a couple of hours all about 8 inches long.THIS IS NOT A SERIOUS SMALLIE LAKE BUT COULD BE IF PROPER FISHING ETHICS WERE FOLLOWED.
