Went to Stevens for the 5th or 6th time w/ some friends.

It seemed slow when we were on the water, but afterwards counting up the number of fish we had on we did as well as usual.

We had 12+ hookups, but for some reason our hookup to land ratio was worse than usual. Usually we land 4 out of 5. This time it was about half.

We trolled what I call the "John Thomas Special" custom spinner behind various colors of 4/0 dodgers. We were catching them between 35-55' down on the rigger.

My favorite part was when one of the guys, who is new to DR fishing, had just lowered down a line & I was instructing him on cranking down the rod to get a nice bend when the rod tip started pulsing. I said "Dude, you got a fish!" and he was so surprised he didn't know what to do.
