I've fished this lake a few times over the past few years and I can't say
it's been getting better. They stock it well, but the fish seem
to disappear in the first month or so after the season opens. We like to use
flies while trolling, and we'll catch something in May, usually the trout
that were just stocked. Gets a little crowded sometimes, with people
from Bellingham or the Skagit coming in. No gas engines, and I've seen
somebody get ticketed for even having one on their boat. Poor fishing from shore
unless you know someone with a dock. The only access is at the boat
ramp, since the Glenhaven Clubhouse is private property and available to
residents only. Warms up in the summertime and gets cloudy with algae.
That's when the perch start biting. Watch out for the eagles and the ospreys!
