Got up to the noisy creek area just before it got light and got the poles in the water. we had two poles on a downrigger and one pole with a 4oz weight off to the side. the two poles on the rigger were ran at 40 and 23 ft all day and the side pole with 35ft of line out. the poles on the riggers were rigged with pink smiley blades and shrimp while the side rod had a pink squid tipped with shrimp. the pole at 40ft got three fish, the side pole got two, and the pole at 23ft got one. the first fish hit around 5am and the last about 9am. Today we did a little better than yesterdays two fish and two lost. yesterday we were just fishing the two poles off the downrigger not wanting to deal with a 3rd pole. to cut down on the loosin fish we set our drags really loose and played the fish, seemed like they didnt want to jump as much and spit the hook with the extra line given them to run.
