So after yesterday's luck with my wife, I decided to take a friend who happened to be in town back out to Samammish to see what we could stir up. Since he's a little better angler than my wife, we took the raft around some cover, me trolling the boat slow while he cast spinnerbaits and rapalas to try and entice the bass. Nothing happening. The water seemed very churned up for the most part and we had to hunt to find some clearance.

We found a nice little shelf where we thought we might find some bass lurking but still, didn't have any luck with the elusive creatures. So when all else fails, get perch. We threw on some palomared dropshot rigs and let fly. And the shelf was amazing. In two and a half hours we had easily 45+ healthy perch in the boat and one pretty bluegill. We were catching enough of size that we decided to keep the "lunkers" and do a little fish fry when we got back to the house. Still no sign of bass.
