Well what a beautiful day we had in the NW, MrA and I headed out to Ozette not too early this time leaving at 6am getting on the water at 8. We were greeted with a parking lot full of rigs, hmmm maybe our reports have spawned some interest, well we managed to snug our rig in and off we went to find those big Perch. Well if you have been following my reports each of the last 3 times on the water the bite just kept slowing down and starting later and today was no exception as we did not boat our fisrt keeper until about 11:30 We went into exploration mode and tried spots we normally would not finding mixed success. I spotted a very rare bird for you birders out there it was a solitary (Vaux's Swift), neat to see. The wind took it's time coming up but when it did we began to catch a few fish. This turned out to be the slowest day I have ever experienced on this lake, but it sure was a beautiful day to be on the water, best we could manage was a couple around the 10" mark. Klahowya!
