Too bad you can't fish a floating device this type of year. The Nooksack is too high right now so I decided to try my luck at Fazon. I started off the day by fishing a bottom rig with a 2 foot leader behind a slip sinker. On the first cast with a worm I caught a small bluegill. You would hook one every cast. Being as my target was channel catfish I continued around the west side of the lake. Then I threw on a worm again and on about the 10th cast I caught a beautiful 16 inch channel. While I was putting on a new worm I saw about 15 bluegill jump at once. I thought that's weird. Suddenly I knew why a huge fish that looked like one of the tiger muskies they planted in here splashed its tail and darted off. Promptly I put on a #4 chartreuse with silver blade vibrax. Nothing for about a half hour. Then when I was about to leave a fish hit like a semi truck. It was on for about 5 min. until the huge tiger cut my 12 pound test with its razor sharp teeth. Too bad. At least I got a nice catfish for dinner.
