The hike down to Fragrance is only about a mile. The view from the water is great and I recommend bringing your float tube and a towel to go swimming when you are done fishing. I caught four rainbows on a 1/4 ounce rooster tail in about an hour. I missed more than I caught mostly because of using a single barbless hook. Cut off the treble hook and you won't mutilate as many fish. This lake is worth the hike for the scenery alone
