Went out to Bitter around 6:45pm last night. Pumped up the boat, and we were on the lake by 7. Started at the North end, which is getting shallow with the water being down. Weeds are thick. Worked down the West side with 4" Light Green Senkos, rigged weightless, tossing by the docks and lily pads. Had a big strike near some lily pads- but was manning the trolling motor, so I did not see it- only felt it. Almost took the pole out of my hand. Little farther down, caught a little LM dink. Back up to the Norht end, but down the East side the next run, and had a few nibbles, but nothing we could set the hook on. Probably the rock bass, or more LM dinks. When the sun started to set- tried the popper for awhile after seeing a large fish surface in the pads. Got nothing with the top water action.

Anyhow- only 1 fish landed in a couple hours, but the big strike left me wondering what I had missed. Grrrr

Maybe try Haller tonight. Never been there, and just realized it is closer, so.....
