Was in Kirkland for the afternoon, so Logan77, my brother and I fished at Waverly Park for the late morning and afternoon. About a half hour after we arrived at 10, I pulled up a dink bass on a worm. A little bit after that I caught a couple sunfish on worms as well. I was surprised to catch the sunfish, I pulled them out of 15 feet of water. There must have been a weed bed where the fish were at. After that, no action for a couple hours until my brother caught a perch on a worm. Logan77 caught a dink largemouth about the same size of the smallmouth I caught on a 3.5 inch tube. My brother caught a real skinny perch around then too. Logan77 and I switched to shad raps when we didn't get anything else on the tubes. Logan had a silver one, mine was yellow and purple. First cast with the crankbait, a 1 pound bass slams it just after I started the retrieve. The fish fought real hard, jumped a few times and ran under the dock once. My drag was set real light which made it even more fun. Unfortunetly, the fish had got the treble hooks caught up in his gills and was bleeding real bad. We kept him for dinner. When we were gutting the fish, we found 2 sculpin in his stomach, he must have been hungry! A few casts later Logan77 caught a bass about 3/4 pound on the silver shad rap. This one wasn't hooked as bad, and the fish was released unharmed. A few more hits after that, but nothing doing so we packed up and left around 3.
