Largemouth Bass

Had the first fish on a Jitterbug on the second cast - Largemouth. The next was also on the Jitterbug a few docks down. Some smaller fish bites on the spinnerbait, but no hookups on it.

The next few fish - 10 or so more - on the crankbait and tube. Had to put up with about 6 smallies today. :-)

1 spot I caught 4 fish within a small area of about 3 feet by 3 feet.

Another spot I caught 4 fish close together, 2 off 1 dock, with witnesses, and the first smallie of the day, and 2 off the pads and dock a few yards from that dock. 2 Smallies and 2 Largies.

Biggest Bass was a Largie at 2-13 on a gitzit off a dock I haven't caught a fish off of for many years, but keep fishing it = success today. :-)

A total of about 15 fish, tube and crankbait a Jitterbug.

Water temp of 70 degrees.

Even asked the Police Officer if he wanted to inspec my boat, he did, it passed, I even got a fancy sticker I didn't know they had. :-) :-)

King County sheriff's department ripped me off, I didn't get a sticker after my boat passed inspection!
Sounds like the bite has picked up with the sustained 70+ degree weather we have been having.

was it the young kid officer? hes a good guy, he is usually out there with no shoes on reading some magazine. If youre fishing and you let him know where youll be he will keep an eye out for you and watch the a-holes with their boats pulling intertubes go full throttle by you within 20 feet while youre stalled fishing, he pulls em over its all in good fun to watch and hear their excuses if they are close.

What docks were you fishing under? i live on 289 dock and seen some large bass lurking under my dock heading north on the lake in the early morning right at my bouy line i have in the water for my seadoo...its all gravel in there and all the perch and sunfish are abundant in there when its sunny out...

I was all over mid lake east side, and the south end. Got a good pounder in the big pad patch at the southeast area on a spinnerbait. The 2-13 I got around dock 300, I didn't pay that much attention, it's a little ways north of dock 318, which is one of only a couple I have memorized where they are by the numbers. The lone skinny dock with no pads, but the two docks on either side have some pads that I catch fish from now and then. Just south from the boat lift with the red top. Yes there are a couple good gravel beds in that area, catch smallies usually around them.

As I'm sitting here, I think that would be more like dock 270. As in the area of dock 291 last year I caught some good fish off all the docks along there on the same pass. And the gravel patch between a couple docks. Now I have to go to look at the dock. Be back in a few hours. :-)
