I fished from weds the 10th till we left pretty much on the 15th. I never got skunked on any of my outtings and usually each time I went out I caught more fish than everyone else in camp combined ( there were about 20 of us). the last day I caught 6 or 8 in an hour, including one monster rainbow, and a bunch of smaller bass. everything was released.
the first part of the week I just fished drop shot with black or white sniper worms as they are my favorite, and it worked just fine. the last day I decided to throw my new sinking rapala since I hadn't used it yet, and that did just fine as well!
the water level was VERY high, the highest i've seen it, which made it difficult for some people who didn't really know how to fish the lake. all the regular rocks, covers, and points produce fish still, just not as consistently as they appear to be more spread out.
I didnt' get a chance to fling an ounce of powerbait, so aside from the one I caught accidentally I couldn't tell you what the rainbows are like this year. I only saw one other one caught in our camp. There was an old timer I saw that took 2 or 3 every morning off the dock at Shady Pines though.
