Trying out a new rod and reel I bought today. Didn't think I'd see much action in the middle of the afternoon, but within 5 or 10 minutes I caught a 12" smallmouth bass on a Thomas blue/silver double spinner. Over the next hour or so, I got two more nibbles, but that was it.

I was fishing from one of the docks on Lake Washington Blvd. There is no cross street there, but it 's the dock maybe a half a mile north of Sayres Park.
