Been heading out to this like alot lately. Nice little lake with only light use by other boats. Began fishing topwater with my bronzeye spro, pulled a couple little largey's out of the cover early on. Switched up to fishing with senkos, texasrigged/no weight, dropping it close into the docks and other heavy cover. Had a good amount of bites, but only managed to land one more largemouth before I switched back to the topwater. Best fish of the night was the one that got away. Cast my spro out deep into the pads on the backside of the lake, just started bringing it back when the water exploded around my frog. Set the hook and started hauling him in, trying to drag him over the top of the pads. About 3/4 of the way back he managed to dive, tangle my line, and get the slack he needed to shake the hook. Fun fight though, looked to be around 4 or 5 lbs from what I saw of him. Great afterwork outing.
