I had some time on my hands this weekend so I continued my exploration of some of the smaller lakes around my house. I've fish Scriber once before, but I went in completely blind and didn't even know if there were fish there. After confirming that there actually was something to catch I decided to give it another shot.

Arrived in the late afternoon, just as the sun went down behind the trees. Started off casting some small jigs and a small crankbait anywhere I could reach to try to see if I could hit anything, but came up empty. After a while I got lazy and switched to worms under a bobber. I caught a 9" rainbow trout off this combo.

An interesting note is that there were kids swimming when I got there and they'd evidently had a fight with those mini marshmallows (like you'd buy in a grocery store, not the fishing type) before I arrived. There were dozens of marshmallows on the surface and it appeared that the fish were taking full advantage as I saw a number of them get taken by what appeared to be trout.

Yea, that's pretty much how I felt when I saw them. I did get them to confirm that how deep it is out on the "dock" though :)

There are some really strange people that hang out at that park.
