Made it to Potholes to fish Thursday and Friday. It is crazy how much this lake has changed with the water level down to where it is. Thursday was productive lots of fish including a smallie around 3.5 pounds. Friday continued to produce fish all day long. Around 5 in the evening however it was like someone flipped a switch and the big bass bite was on! For two hours it was like we were fishing in a video game. I caught personal bests for both largemouth and smallmouths. Unfortunately my digital scale was not working, but the two biggest of each species were probably around 6 and 4 pounds. If it were a tournament our 5 best just in that couple of hours would have been well over 20 pounds. Hoping to make it back soon before winter sets in.
