My dad didn't feel like waking up this morning so I woke up at 5 AM and walked from our rented cabin to Mardon resort dock to get some bass fishing in on our last day on Potholes. Caught a 2 pound Largemouth off the dock on a blue and silver rattletrap. All of a sudden I feel something weird going on with my rattletrap, and set the hook, It was a big fish! Got it up to the dock, and saw a flash of brown and said no way this is not a SM! I was right. I accidently snagged a carp around 5 pounds in the back. Took my pliers and shook him free. Saw a rocky area, moved and caught a 2 pound SM. Overall I'm very happy with this weekend on Potholes. Espically with fishing on LW as bad as it is now. Caught some nice bass (check out my other 2 reports for Potholes if you haven't seen them)
