Sunday was about as perfect a day on the lake, weatherwise as you could ask for.
Sunny, almost no wind and comfortable at about 53 degrees. We had the lake to ourselves until a few kayakers came along briefly and no fishermen until our day was ending.
The water temperature was down to 58.8 and clarity beyond belief.
We saw several schools of small bass but they weren't very hungry. We landed 26 fish in all.
I caught and released 8 fish. P. boated 7 and K. 11. It was pretty neat when we decided to troll the last hour for P. to land two large cutthroats on a walleye lure. The largest fish was 17" and the second just slightly smaller. We had only three pumpkinseeds in the bunch with the rest being LMB.
Soup on the barbecue rounded out a super day.
