I figured the Puyallup was still a little too high from the rain so I went to clear lake. I missed one fish on a gold/orange spoon in about 25ft. Only other hit was on a Berlkey perch color soft plastic on a 1/8th oz. jig head. Luckily I caught her. As soon as I set the hook I knew she had some weight to her. She turned my boat around staying down at bottom then came straight for a backflip. My digital scale put her at 5lb. 1oz. My personal best! A nice genleman who was fishin for kokes near by was kind enough to take a pic for me. A good way to end the year since it closes end of the month. I'll probably be back on the river when the water drops a little more.

I think of it as a "life time" fish. I stil can't believe I caught one that big, I have been dreaming of that fish for years. Since I put her back she can only get bigger!

Nice fish! And just a few cabins down from mine. If you enlarge the picture my dock is on the right hand side with a phontoon boat tied to it.
In the late 50's three tall (90 ft.) fir trees were felled into the lake in that area. Back when the lake was actual 'clear' you could see parts of them.
