Went to Jameson with some friends for the October opener. Fished a little bit at Midnight on Friday, a person in our party caught about a 10 inch trout within the first 5 minutes. That was the only fish caught that night by us.

Saturday we went out in the boat and bottom fished for a while. Caught maybe 2 doing that, so switched to trolling. Trolled and caught lots of nice fish around the 12" mark. Also caught a really nice one that had bright red fins on the bottom, almost looked like a different species of fish. Someone said it may be a native rainbow.

Sunday we got up early and went out to troll again. Trolled starting at the North end of the lake and made our way South. Hit a good area where we all hooked into some fish, all kept a few. Kept trolling that same area and a little bit later I hooked into a nice 2 pounder. As soon as I set the hook I knew it was a big one. Had fun reeling it in. Kept turning around and hitting the same spot for an hour or so. Caught lots of regular size, and I landed another big one close to 2 pounds. This smaller one faught a lot harder, I thought it was going to be even bigger than the last one.

Had lots of fun, wish I could've made it back again this month.

The fish with red fins might have been a lahotan cutthroat from grimes
