My schedule changed at work so I got to try the afternoon bite for the first time in a long time. It's been getting cold at night so my expectations were low. I hit all of my favorite local spots in a span of 3 hours, most of my time was spent in traffic. I tossed out quite a few presentations and I must admit the drop shot is becoming a new personal favorite. I felt one thump and the fish took off with a mean fight! Love them smallies. I'll be really excited if I have a reason to post before next spring. Until then, tight lines er'body!

I actually plan to do some winter fishing on smaller lakes. I need a decent motor to get around around on the best deep lakes.

In clear water dropshotting is hard to beat. I always have one rigged when fishing for smallmouth. Especially when fishing 15 ft or deeper. And I've had days I've caught largemouth on them when I couldn't get a bite on anything else. Obviously you're learning that for yourself. Congrats!
