Grabbed a buddy from work and made our way to Medicare beach for a little bank fishing. The last couple of years I have been doing better from the bank than from my boat this time of year. The set up is just the usual 1/4 to 1/2 ounce bullet weight with a 3 foot leader with a #6 octopus hook with either green chartreause,or rainbow power bait. The action started off just like previous years. The first bite came within the first 5 minutes of tossing out my first rod(2 rod endorsement)I set the hook and oops knot failure.re-rig and toss back out.Get second rod out.5 minutes later first rod gets hit again. After a 5 or 6 minute battle on light gear I land a 3.7 lber at about 20 inches.Toss line back out and second rod gets hit which ends up with a lost 18 or so incher right at the bank.My buddy then catches a 16 incher, and not long after that I catch a 3.4 lb 19 incher. We lost a couple more fish then it goes absolutely dead for the last couple of hours or so.
