I stopped by the lake to check it out, and to see what the dock was like (kent.gov said it was closed). Everything looked good, nice lake, except the weeds were so high in the shore area you could almost walk across the water.
I stood on the bank over next to the picnic tables and tried some weedless plastics, which retreived OK away from shore, but came in dragging plants. Lost a texas rigged plastic just 15 feet from shore.
I moved over to the dock and tried some topwaters to either side of the dock, with no luck, until I tried to finesse my rapala popper close to a clump of branches - and landed it right in the branches.
It's still there, and I'm working on my boat, or I'd be out there untying it right now. (unlike the attached pic, that island is underwater).
If anyone gets out on the water, ten feet out from the bridge, grab that rapala for me would ya? Thnx
