This was my first time here, and it is a beautiful river and canyon. We launched at Smeaton's Grove. Went strait to the net pens based on advice. We gave it hell for 2 hours without a fish there, and did not see any of the other 6 boats catch any there, not saying they did not but did not hear any cheers or see anything caught. It was almost combat fishing behind the pens. There were tons of fish on the finder, just not really biting. We decided to leave, as this is just not my style. I do not like crowds, and we only got one good bite by the pens.

Then we started casting rapala's and spinners to shore along the rocky cliffs making our way back, and our luck changed. Several decent sized rainbows released. I ended up catching this good one at the end of the day on a gold spinner.

Flow increased in the afternoon, be careful out there, see comments for details.
