Picked up 3 between my partner & I. It was pretty slow. A 3,4 & a 5 pounder. Nice fish and a great day on the water. Tried flies in olive, black & brown, nadda. Talked to Joe when he came by & he said black was the magic color. I tied up a black mini squid behind a black blade and it worked for 2 fish in the boat & 2 other long releases. The other fish came on a red wedding ring. I was beginning to wonder what we were doing wrong but, I think it was a tough go for all as there was a scramble for the dock at dark thirty. Everybody was still trying to limit right up till dark.
It was nice meeting you Joe!

Thanks for the report Andy, glad you were able to yank on some of the tripps. The fish we have caught this fall have been line rippers. Hope to read more of your reports soon. Keep em comin

Lewis, one of the fish I caught was absolutely pristine in coloration. Fought like the dickens, and turned out to be fin clipped! My guess is it came down from Roosevelt. It was only three pounds but I thought I had a big pig.

Andy. It's nice to see that you got a chance to make it out to catch a few "Trips" this winter! I feel the same that you do, even though those fish don't have a great reputation for being good fighters the ones I caught with Blufin Louie last January gave me a run for my money! Have a good one sir. Till we get to fish together again. Jiggy
