12/11/2011 10:42:00 PMI fished Hog for several years while I was in WA. The big rainbows were lots of fun on ultralight jigging rods! IMO, it fishes best in the early morning, from 8:00 until 9:30 or so. Avoid deep water, as most feeding fish are in shallow water. Keep it simple and small. Tear drop jigs and small Swedish Pimples with a fireball salmon eggs or two will slay em when the bite is on. This bite can turn on and stop at a moments notice. If you're lucky it will last an hour, if unlucky just 15-30 minutes!
