Decided to take the boat out one last time for 2011. I know I should be steelheadin since I'm probably leaving WA in a few months but I had the itch to go bassin' again! Spent most of the day finding perch upon perch in about 60-70 feet (ended up taking a bunch home for the frying pan). On my last cast (at least what was going to be) of 2011 I felt it, bass on! First one ran about 2.5 lbs (weighed quickly to get it back in the water fast). A couple casts later in the same spot landed another. Lost 2 others in the same area that felt like smallies but I'll never know. Anyhow, ended the year right! Happy New Year everyone!! BTW I was dropshotting sniper snubs (snot) on a 6 lb flouro leader. Tight Lines into 2012!

Now you are one dedicated bass fisherman. Congrats. Most likely the others you lost were probably smallies. They do tend to school up when they go deep. Anyway, thanks for the post!
