Went out with a friend for those cutts. Got a few, but lots of Kokanee (released of course). We tried up sizing the lures to focus on the cutts, but even caught kokes on large flatfish. Silly fish :)

We were getting fish in the top 20'. The kokes were good size 14ish in. The cutts ranged from 10-18 in.

Good to hear Kokanee are back. Wasn't it up until a year or two ago they were thought to be extinct in the Sammamish?

It's good to hear that there are a good number of Kokanee ready to spawn next year. Numbers have been horrible in the past, but this last year they've begun to come back:

What size flatfish were you using? I got a tip that they work well for Kokanee so I bought a bunch of smaller ones in the offseason to try this spring in Stevens.

The flatfish the kokanee hit was a X3 size. I think. I was surprised a koke would hit such a large lure.

I had the same thing before Christmas. Last time out by myself it was 2 Cutts and 4 Kokes. All on small dodger and Needlefish. They seem farily common this winter and they are all nice, healthy fish.
