We got on the ice before 9am and four of us each had our two over 14" before noon. Nothing was under the 14" mark so we had to call it. Lots of slush to tromps through made it a slower than usual treck out on the ice. When the wind was not blowing the weather was nice. The wind would pick up and make it a bit chilly. Ice was around 5" thick. Worms and power bait took all the fish today. I tried several black jigs and had multiple bites but nothing ever hooked up. Had a talk with fish and game on the way out. Best day I have ever had on the ice as far as catching goes.

Man almost feels like I was there with ya, couldn't believe how quick I caught my limit this morning. Great Morning minus the slush.

Believe it or not you were. We walked out on the ice together. I was with Tim and Scotty. You sure had the bragging rights for the day though. Well done!

Yes he did. I gave him four hand warmers and my coat and then wrapped him under cover in the sled. Amazing how a "fish on" can make one forget about being cold. He would come flying out in a flash and forget he was cold for quite sometime. It was really more of an issue of not having a fire to play with than being cold.
