Had a great time on Lake chelan today! We finally got some temps above freezing.. about time! Our first stop was in the lower basin with a good breeze from the South West. The bite was a little slower than normal and we had trouble finding fish on the sonar, but managed to pick up a few before the wind got the better of us. So just like last week we made wake up to the yacht club in search of bigger fish and better weather. We found a good bite right off the bat! We trolled out to 360 ft before turning around, but all our bites came inside the 280 ft mark.. nothing in the deep water. The purple glow T-4 Flatfish and Moonshine spoon worked the best for us. Soon as the bite slowed down we headed back to the lower basin hoping the fish would cooperate a little better in the evening.. and they did! We found stacks of fish in the 180 to 220 ft range. We caught 3 more fish and had several bites while trying to take pictures and put the gear away! The Hi-fly and Moonshine spoon worked well for us here also. Ended the day with 9 nice lakers in the cooler. A good day with good friends!
