I delayed launching today in hopes that I could catch the weather transition from high to low. By 11:00am the pressure was still sitting pretty high and figured that I’d better get out there while the getting was good. I targeted the south end of the Lake and though I did find bait, nothing was in the mood or in the area to hit any of the lures I tried. It is that time of the year when the fish run upstream to spawn, and I suspect that my have contributed to my poor outing. The winds were out of the south the entire day and picked up in intensity as the day went by. I ran my standards, mini hoochie, mini cutplug and Apex lures throughout the water column, without even getting a takedown. By 3:30 I had enough and headed back to the launch. As it turns out, the pressure didn't drop until after 5:00pm.
