Hit Sammamish the other day with some friends. We tried all our usual spots. Not a single cutt, but we did get a number of kokanee (all released, of course).

My guess is the cutts are mostly in the streams spawning.

We tried a variety of deapths from right on the surface to 45' down, and a few different speeds.

We used the usual needlefish, flatfish, wedding rings, etc...

It sure does seem like we are currently experiencing the doldrums of winter cutt fishing.

Yes it does, although the latest report maybe indicates things are changing.
I forgot to mention, talked to a guy @ the launch. He said he trolls fast, like 3-3.5MPH in the winter and catches cutts. Sounds like BS to me, but maybe there is something to it.

I could see trolling pretty fast, but maybe just with a Needlefish.
That may be a way to outrun the Kokes:-)
As I reported, on the 29th the Cutts were biting at the Bouy, on the west side, but it was only about one hour's activity.
