This report is for last week as well as this week on both of the weekends. My buddy and I headed out to coulon to try for some trout again because of the past success we had over there on a chartreuse Red Eye Shad. We start off at the apartments area and caught nothin except got a few hits but never hooked up we then move towards the swimming area on a rocky flat/sand flat across the park on my second cast and a few cranks in I get a solid hit.Biggest trout from shore in winter at this lake. Great fighters! I then pulled up a 2 pound 16 inch trout. That was it for that day. I then head out by myself the week after that using the same tecnique as well as color and lure. Im glad i did i caught 4 trout in front of the apartments but only decided to post a pic of the biggest one of all four.
