I decided to head up and fish the I 82 ponds today and caught my first big crappie of the year! The biggest were some pretty decent sized fish with the biggest almost 12". My hottest bait was a prototype "Jiggy Nymph" of my own design. The smoke/red flake Nymph was fished on a 1/64th oz chartruse/lime green jighead and I also picked up nearly a half dozen stocker trout with one carry over about 15". My esteemed friend and fishing collegue blufin loui recently recieved some of these "Jiggy nymphs" from me and I can't wait to hear the feed back on them from him! The crappie were in only one section of the pond and I was fishing off of the bank with a micro slip bobber along the outside weed edge. My astro table's fishing times also nearly predicted the bite between 3 and 5 p.m. juat as it did for me at the Quincy lakes Trout Derby. I'm really looking forward to trying my new "Gillus Bluegill nymph" and my "Dyin' Crappie Minnow" prototypes the next time I go out. Good luck brothers. Jiggy
