Had a great time fishing at Beaver Lake in Issaquah this morning. I arrived at the lake at 9:30 a.m. and fished until Noon. The conditions were excellent, partially cloudy with no wind. Hooked up two nice fat Trout from shore. Got one in and lost the other at the bank attempting to land it. The one I landed was 18 inches long and probably weighed about 2 1/2 - 3 lbs before I cleaned it. The one I lost was a little bit smaller, approx. 16 inches. After a nice fight the one that got away spit the hook just as I was pulling it in. Caught both fish on a silver and blue Kastmaster spoon. Heard from an old timer at the lake that the state is scheduled to plant it next Wednesday, so the fishing should just get better. Added bonus, a gorgeous Bald Eagle flew over and landed about 25 feet up in the tree over me right before I cleaned my fish. Guess he wanted to know if I was feeling generous. Tight lines!
