Once again this year on opening day we OWNED all of the German Brown Trout on the lake. We caught them at will with no hesitation. Between 4 of us we caught 18 Browns with the smallest being 16 inches and the largest being 23 inches. 1 Bass (12 1/4 inches) which was RELEASED UNHARMED ! 2 Bows caught approx. 15 inches each. That was opening day in the wind. Once again we used our secret weapon which unfortunately is no longer made by the Bagely company. (no I'm not going to tell you what it was) The day ended as planned with complete fulfillnes of our daily limit. The next day we got 3 Browns each and called it quits at 11 am. At 1:40 we proceeded to West Medical and caught our remaining limit of Trout for the day. Oh My God did we have fun. The fishing on West Medical for our group of 4 internal tournament was ultra-ultra light gear 2 lb test, light drag. The last fish of the day at 4:25 pm to complete the limit was a beautiful Brood Stock, 6 lbs. The fight lasted approx. 20 minutes and was a thing of beauty......Enjoy the rest of the fishing year on these lakes and good luck to you.... and remember, the common rainbow trout is your mortal enemy, FISH TILL YA DROP !
