4/2/2012 8:34:00 PMi always wondered how early the bass would start to venture in. those rocks will hold heat but i still firmly believe it's way too early in the year for the smallies to make the big move from deeper water into shallow water. it's always nice to get out and enjoy a beautiful day though whether you catch or not.

4/2/2012 10:46:00 PMThat place looks like some of the best smallmouth water I've seen. Since it is shallow it should warm up faster than the rest of the lake , so expect them in that place you took a pic. of pretty soon ( when the water temp. climbes into the mid 50's).
