The large perch finally started!!!!!!!!!!! Sunday afternoon three friends of ours fished in the lily pads for about 3 hours and came in with 35 fish (one bass and a couple catfish). The rest were 12-15 inch perch, all well over a pound each. This is the kind of perch fishing we look forward to from this lake every year. For some reason the large perch are a little late this year, from now until the end of Sept. should be a lot of fun. Bass have been outstanding all season but not many people are fishing for them. A lot of days only one or two people are sharing this entire lake for large mouth up to 81/2 pounds. Labor day weekend at the resort should be a lot of fun again this year. Last year we had the first ever pig roast, it was so much fun we thought we would do it again this year. Its a big camp wide potluck and a small donation for the pig. The following weekend there will be a bluegrass jam session put on by a bluegrass group from Spokane. Fish,food and good music what better way could you spend the rest of the summer?
